Dr Branka graduated from Pavlov’s First State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2011. She pursued postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before marrying an Aussie and moving to Australia in 2015.

She then spent a few years in healthcare education, creating content for Medical Joyworks LLC, working for the Learning and Teaching Department at Eastern Health, Melbourne and she remains passionate about lifelong learning for medical professionals.

In Echuca, VIC she worked as a resident for a few years across different specialties and completed the ACEM Certificate in Emergency Medicine in 2023. She is also a Western Sydney University alumna, having completed a Graduate Diploma in Child Health through the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

She served the Indigenous community on Yorta Yorta country for 18 months at an Aboriginal Medical Centre before relocating to the Sunshine Coast. Dr Branka is a Fellow of the RACGP and now enjoys the full breadth of general practice.

She is a registered Focussed Psychological Strategies provider and takes interest in addiction medicine, weight reduction and eating disorders management. She performs minor skin surgery and supports women’s reproductive choices with medical termination of pregnancy as well as inserting all types of IUDs/LARCs.
